YOU can achieve these results faster & better by following these easy steps!
I know you’re dying to know just like I once was but there’s an important factor to go through before we go any further and that is the…
Causes of Acne
Acne can be triggered by practically ANYTHINGGG you can think of, yes anything.
Visiting doctors and dermatologists on a number of occasions has taught me that there is HUNDREDS of acne triggers.
Finding the root cause may be tricky! But lets dive in to your options.
1. Existing Skincare
Your current skincare practice may be inflicting MORE damage than no skincare.
Yes, it is true!
It is vital to exercise caution while purchasing skincare products since everyone’s skin is unique; some are naturally oily, while others are dry.
Check the bottle or package for any dangerous components before making a purchase by visiting websites such as Paulaschoice.com, just a quick scan via your camera will tell you which products are good/bad.
2. Alcohol & Smoking
Whatever you put in your body may reflect your health in the future.
Heres another 2 triggers you may not have even realised affected your skin health & texture.
Alcohol:
Whether drank or applied, alcohol will dry. You are OUT.
Going out for a couple drinks on the weekend looks like a great idea, just as I expected. But the next morning, I’d discover that my skin had broken out yet again.
This is because alcohol dehydrates your body and face, causing the skin to generate more oil, which accumulates in your pores and causes fresh breakouts.
According to my experience, drinking enough of water and utilising hydrating solutions/moisturisers can help alleviate/prevent this problem.
Smoking:
Smoking/vaping is another culprit which could be affecting your skin quality.
You’re probably thinking. How?!?
The lung’s immune function is intricately linked to the skin’s immunological response. When the lungs are healthy, they assist to manage the skin’s immune system, lowering the risk of skin problems and encouraging healthy, bright skin.
Unhealthy lungs may result in breakouts, wrinkles & blemishes on the skin.
Smoking reduces blood flow, lowering oxygen and nutrition supply to wound sites, resulting in slower healing and an increased risk of infection meaning that scars and spots may take longer to heal and fade.
So make sure you prioritise inhaling oxygen!
Your body’s overall health is enhanced by a healthy gut.
Eating a nutritious and balanced diet may help you overcome your acne and get rid of it permanently!
Consuming sugar triggers insulin resistance, which in turn causes inflammation and increased production of oil, both of which are factors in acne breakouts.
Although the reason why some people breakout and others do not has not yet been established, it is important to consider sugary foods when determining what triggers your own skin.
4. Hygiene
You have to stay clean to stay clear!
Hygiene is essential for keeping a bright skin tone; touching your face frequently may be the cause of your breakouts.
Car steering wheels, phones, computers, and other items we contact on a regular basis can contain a lot of germs. We may unknowingly touch our faces to relieve an itch, only to discover a new spot has formed a short while later.
Your bedding might also play an important part in this! A dirty pillowcase contains bacteria, of which could make its way onto your face and into your pores, resulting in a new spot each time you wake up.
5. Hormones
Fluctuating hormones can have a major affect on your skin.
Hormonal acne is caused by the overproduction of sebum (oily substance) in skin glands, clogging pores and leading to pimples.
The triggers for hormonal acne can be due to puberty, menopause and even stress, it could also link in with an imbalance of estrogen and androgen hormones, such as testosterone.
Causes vary from person to person, but you never know unless you try! Narrowing down the source will provide you with numerous answers and remedies to your acne, such as how to minimise or prevent it.
Here’s how I substantially decreased my acne in just two weeks!
(And how YOU can achieve the same results)
First step to achieve such result is to find the root cause!
Everything in the list above practically affected me in 1 way or another.
The first thing I stopped doing was smoking; not only did I feel healthier and no longer desired nicotine, but my skin texture also changed. No matter what products I used while smoking, it had no effect on my skin, but once I quit, there was a visible improvement.
Quitting smoking kills 2 birds with 1 stone, healthier lungs & healthier skin.
Yes, quitting smoking can be really tough for some individuals since others crave the sensation more than I do, but chewing gum was one of the things that helped me stop. It’s a fantastic alternative, especially if previously’ve vaped; if you match the gum taste to the flavour of the vape you used, it’s just as enjoyable minus the nicotine.
WAIT… Thats not all!
Thing No.2 that I did was slow down on the alcohol consumption. I LOVED going out with friends & family to have a drink.. or 2.. or 3… ANYWAY. Its fun right? But going out day after day consecutively did have an affect on me and may affect YOU.
My skin looked aged and droopy, my entire face had a bloated appearance. It was visibly dry and had an awful texture. Especially the day after the outing.
I’ve observed that since I stopped going out for two weeks, my skin has become considerably fuller and more radiant. Being consistent for a month resulted in significant improvements to my skin’s quality and overall well-being!
After a while I actually found more enjoyment NOT drinking which long term benefited my skin, liver and wallet ๐ ๐
What products did I use?
With a lot of trial and error and testing different items, I discovered which ones perform well and which don’t.
Here are three takeaways:
- Benzoyl Peroxide: This has performed wonderfully for my skin! It eats acne for breakfast. It eliminates bacteria quickly and penetrates deep into the pores, unclogging them. It also decreases sebum (oil) production and contains antioxidants, which assist to relieve inflammation.
- Azelaic Acid: Like Benzoyl Peroxide, Azelaic Acid also unclogs pores but it excels in its ability to erase pigmentation at incredible speeds! It also helps reduce the appearance of post acne scarring too!
- Adapalene: A retinoid that alters the way your skin cells develop and shed, preventing them from clogging pores or causing acne. It also helps to reduce the redness and swelling that comes with acne.
Million Dollar Routine.
Question is, how did I do it?
Lets crack on and get the products list out the way shall we?
- CeraVe Hyaluronic Acid Serum
- TruSkin Vitamin C Serum
- Panoxyl Benzoyl Peroxide 10% face wash
- MOSKILA Azelaic Acid 12%
- ProactivMD Adapalene Gel Acne Kit
- CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser
One click on the underlined text will take you to the product page where you can purchase your own and begin your skin healing adventure. ๐
But before you buy anything let me explain the products first!
Mornings:
I started my mornings off washing my face with cold water, no soap, no nothing!
Excessive cleansing can harm the skin’s natural barrier, leaving it more vulnerable to irritations, inflammatory reactions, and infections so I’d only use a cleanser ONCE during the day to avoid causing any damage.
Once clean I would start the layering process, first of which would be the CeraVe Hyaluronic Acid Serum. For this product its all in the name, It hydrates the skin and its probably the most crucial layer to apply in the morning to keep your skin glowing and plump ๐
The TruSkin Vitamin C Serum has multiple benefits, also containing Hyaluronic Acid, which hydrates the face while also improving dark circles around the eyes, as well as repairing scars and discolouration.
